The “Sandbox Effect”

The Sandbox term was first coined for Google’s apparent disregard of some new sites. Those who believe in the existence of the sandbox claim that it may take a year for some new sites to rank well in Google. Not all sites are affected, though.

Recently it seems that Yahoo! has included a sandbox in their ranking system, but the Y! sandbox does not last as long. Sites are usually out of it in a month or two. MSN does not seem to have this effect, which is why it is a good target for SEOs with new sites.

Not all in the SEO business believe in the existence of Sandbox. Read more about it in Wikipedia.

as much as we’d like to cuss out google for their sandbox, we all need them so it’s probably a good idea that we don’t

Hey there! Nice blog, I stumbled upon it after my friend told to to check out one of your posts. Btw, what wp template theme are you using?
