Another way to monetize you website: Dclick Ads offers a place for webmasters and advertisers to trade ads. They support image banners, text ads, and ‘embedded ads’, which can be priced by the publisher either as CPC, or on a weekly/monthly basis.
They offer a straightforward method for advertisers and publishers to interact on their marketplace. Signup is free for both publishers and advertisers. They only take a commission on ad sales. Publishers are paid by PayPal.
The only problem I have with their service is that it requires php or asp code to work. And I’m still on a Blogger blog, so I can’t join. Ah, well, I guess it’ll be time to buy a domain name, and proper web hosting soon enough…

as i was reading your post, i was thinking how it might work for me. but like you, i can’t use php or asp…bummer
