Time Management
If making money is one of the reasons you blog, it is essential that you organize your blogging. You can make money, even if you post once this week, and ten times the next; but your revenue will be much better, if you have a regular schedule of when you post. You don’t need to follow it by the minute: it is fine to have a weekly quota of messages.
I really suck at time management. I know what I should be doing, but I find myself reading through random blogs from the Blogger navbar, when I should be writing a couple of new posts. For me that is not so serious, since I don’t want to be a Pro Blogger, but if you want to be one, take control of your time and how you spend it.
Have a Stash of Posts Ready
You should always have a few complete posts ready for posting. You can get busy one day, and not have time to write a post, but you’ll probably have time to pust ‘Post’, if you have saved some. Having posts ready will keep you posting more regular.
Also, even if you have time, it’s not always easy to write. Writer’s block can make writing a very slow process on some days. I like to just hit post on those days, and spend my time reading and commenting on other blogs. On a better day I’ll write two or three posts to replace the old one.
List Your Ideas
This is probably the most important and most effective thing you can do to organize your blogging. When you read other blogs, you’ll come up with topics to post about, but you can easily forget them, if you don’t write them down. Whenever I come with a topic for a new post, I usually create a new post in Blogger, and just write the title for it, but you should try what works for you.
