After some pretty big names have been mentioning AGLOCO (read: John Chow), I decided to take a look at the service myself. I have to say I’m not totally convinced, but interested.

They Aren’t Ready Yet

The first thing you realize after signing up is that AGLOCO is nowhere near ready to pay its members yet. All over the website you find quotes such as “If shares are issued—” and “We are currently in the process of listing the company on the London Stock Exchange (AIM).” One page also claimed that the toolbar is not ready for download yet, but apparently that’s old news.

So currently, no matter how much you surf, or how many referrals you get, you aren’t guaranteed to get anything in return. Hopefully that will change soon, but don’t hope for too much just yet.

The Business Idea

However, they have a solid business idea, and from what I’ve heard, the money to make it real. The idea is that members’ surfing hours will be logged and can, in addition to hours by referrals, be converted to AGLOCO shares. So the company will be owned by its members.

The multi-level referral system really gets members’ attention, and many are promoting their links already to build up a downline for when the service is ready. With a large downline, the potential to earn should be enormous.

The limit for surfing/month is currently set to 5 hours, and it will be interesting to see if users will let the toolbar be active for the rest of the month, after the hours are full. I’m guessing that will be the case, since it’s just too much trouble to turn it op and off, and it doesn’t really bother me much.

Spyware or Adware?

From my own experience I can say that the toolbar does not seem to contain any additional spyware. The toolbar itself sends information about your surfing, but that’s kind of the point, and what you are going to get paid for. The bad news is that it automatically sets up to start on windows start-up, but you can disable it easily from the options.

Yes, as I said in my article, they are not yet paying. However, I think that they have a great potential to go big in the future.

As for AdSense, they are very different ways to earn online. AGLOCO requires no website, and can be used with minimal knowledge of computers. That’s why it has such potential.

Anyway, I’m not suggesting that you put all your effort on promoting AGLOCO, not yet at least. By all means, feel free to stay away from it completely if you want to. There are so many other ways to earn online.

Yup, Agloco is like Spedia, Alladvantage, cashfiesta, or cashsurfer. I’ve joined some of them but they give me little money

Yeah, they won’t pay very well on their own, but I think I’ve understood how to make it work. I’ll write a post about it soon, but meanwhile you could take a look at How to Make Money Online Without a Website.

Hi Sutocu,
I was reading a comment of yours on myLot where you were giving some advice on blogging. I decided to check out your blog and I have read a few of your posts and looked at the ‘How to Make Money Online Without a Website’.
I think for a 20 year old you are well on your way to becoming very successful. You have an astute business mind it seems.
The ‘How To Make…’ program is very similar to the one called Marketing Pond. Not sure if you have ever heard of it. I think it is a god way to promote all the sites that we join without having to promote each one individually.
Best wishes to you and I requested you add me as a friend on MyLot as
cammeel1.

Thank you for your comment, Cameel1. I added you as a friend.

As for Marketing Pond… I had seen it before, but the landing page didn’t sell for me. I might try it, but I don’t think so…
