Welcome the the third edition of Carnival of Webmasters. The number of submissions is increasing from edition to edition. This time there were 52 submissions of which I selected the five I considered best and most in line with my blog. I really recommend reading the following posts, and maybe taking a look at some of the other posts in the blogs (as I’ve done myself).

Thank you again to all who submitted, and feel free to submit your new posts to the next edition, which will be published again in two weeks.

Blogs and Blogging

BlogRush Continues to Crack Me Up - Aahz

This is my fourth post on BlogRush. I introduced y’all to it on September 16th, pulled the widget on September 18th, and laughed rather loudly at their CEO’s ranting antics on September 26th. I still receive regular email updates from them, not because I’m unable to unsubscribe, but because they never cease to amuse me.

Embedding YouTube Clips Into Wordpress Without the Hassle! - Caroline Middlebrook

I needed to put a YouTube video inside a post. Easy right? Nope! I spent about two hours trawling the Internet for a solution and smacking my head against the desk! I’m going to show you the super-easy-hassle-free method to do it!

Internet Marketing

The 80/20 Principle - Leo Dimilo

All of you have probably heard about the 80/20 principle but for those of you who haven’t it basically is premised on the notion that nearly 80% of your outcomes comes from just 20% of what you do. In other words, if you have been blogging and have a couple hundred pages, chances are you will find that 20% (or roundabout) of your posts actually comprise 80% of your traffic.

18 Possibilities to Build Your Unique Selling Position - Terry Dean

There are a multitude of different unique selling positions you could make, but here are a collection of 18 of the most commonly used methods. Use this list as an idea generator, but don’t let it replace the customer research you do to find your niche’s “pain.” Your business can end up shipwrecked if you just randomly pick something from this list because YOU think it sounds good. If you’re not the “perfect” customer for your business, then your opinion doesn’t count.

8 Killer Ways to Skyrocket Your AdSense Revenue - Robinson Go

There are no secrets to the Google’s AdSense program, in my opinion it’s just logic. Why? It’s because everyone is bound by the same terms and conditions for using Google’s AdSense program. So, the difference between these “experts” and you is nothing but optimization. There are many ways to optimize your AdSense earnings without being in danger of violating their terms of service. But the most basic principle in optimizing your AdSense is to serve interesting ads to your users that will make them click.
