Backlink Anchor Text Optimization - Monetize Your Blog

One of the things I learned about in Marhgil Macuha’s recent mini-SEO competition is the importance of backlinks and the backlink anchor text in search engine optimization. There are lots of things you can do on a web page to optimize it’s position in the search engine rankings, but equally important (or perhaps even more important) are the off-page techniques you employ.

How to Hide Affiliate Links - Gary R. Hess

Affiliate marketing is becoming a popular fixture amongst bloggers as a way to create money. They are discovering the power affiliate marketing has to bring; which is why it is ever so important to know what is working and how to improve on sales while keeping friendly with the internet beast, Google. One way by doing this is creating a way to link to affiliate links without showing the actual link.

Make Your Own WordPress Widgets - IM Z2H

Today I’m gonna show you how to easily turn just about anything you like into a sidebar widget. The obvious benefit of this is that your sidebar menu becomes very fluid and easy to manage. I read the anchor text post that was great. Anchor text is one of the most important aspects of seo. I have a directory listing in DMOZ a PR9 directory and the anchor text outweighs my title tags. When I type the anchor text in google the title disapears and the achor text is displayed.

There’s a way around that, if you are interested. The ‘robots’ meta tag can take the value ‘noodp’, which tells Google to use your title tag instead of the Dmoz title.
