Squidoo is a free publishing platform, where you can create a lens on any topic you like. They also allow you to make profit with your lenses. The advantages of Squidoo are the ease of use, and the large amount of Google juice floating between the numerous lenses.
Creating a Squidoo lens is very easy: you just chose a topic, add some content modules and hit publish. Monetizing is automatic via Google AdSense blocks and you can enhance it by adding Amazon modules for relevant offers.
You get your Squidoo profits through PayPal, so you don’t even have to own an account in either of the above programs. Squidoo pays fifty percent of the money to publishers, which is a quite standard share. AdSense money is dealt according to lensrank, which mostly depends on the traffic your lens gets.
There are two ways to profit from Squidoo: one is to create successful lenses that get traffic, the other is to use Squidoo lenses as source of backlinks for other websites. A combination of the two methods is quite possible, and that’s what I recommend for maximum Squidoo profit.
By creating Squidoo lenses related to keywords your website does not rank for, you can tap some extra search traffic that was previously out of your reach. You can also improve your SERP position at the same time by linking back to a related website. This way the total profit you make with Squidoo builds up to a larger amount.

I have several squidoo lenses that google has ranked very well with minimal effort. I use them mostly for backlinks, as you need a ton of traffic to monetize them.

Haven’t really used Squidoo that much, but have used hub pages - think it’s doing quite well.

Is anyone actually making any real money with Squidoo or are you using it as i means to increase your pr? It has always seemed like a waste of time to me to make these squidoo pages, it just seems like you would make more money creating your own sites.
It’s true that the average Squidoo lens will not make that much money. However, when you combine the money it makes with the back links and traffic from it, I see writing Squidoo lenses as a worthwhile marketing method.
